Washington, March 19 (Jiji Press)–The Japanese and U.S. governments on Thursday canceled a working lunch session planned after a summit between Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi and U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House. The summit is likely to be extended beyond the initially planned 30 minutes. The decision reflects “Trump’s wish to continue the summit talks, even at the expense of the working lunch,” a Japanese government source said. The dinner party to be hosted by the president is scheduled to take place as planned. END [Copyright The Jiji Press, Ltd.]
