Iran: Moscow, ‘over 13 tons of medicines sent for civilian population’

(Adnkronos) – Russia has sent over 13 tons of medicines intended for the civilian population in Iran on the orders of President Vladimir Putin. This was announced by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, specifying that this is the first announcement of a Russian aid shipment to Tehran since the start of the military operation launched by the United States and Israel. 

According to the ministry, the aid was transported by air aboard an Ilyushin Il-76 to Azerbaijan, where the medicines were handed over to Iranian authorities to then be transferred by land into the country.
