Previously, an Israeli source had told CNN that Ayatollah Khamenei’s second son was injured last week, and rumors have been circulating for days that he was injured. The new Supreme Leader has never appeared in public, nor has he made any statements since his appointment on Sunday. The son of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Yousef, stated this morning that he had learned Khamenei was injured, but that he is now “safe and sound”.
