Tokyo, March 6 (Jiji Press)–Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi on Friday informed his Israeli counterpart, Gideon Sa’ar, of Tokyo’s serious concern over the situation in Iran following the U.S.-Israeli attacks on the country. In their phone talks, Motegi also urged Sa’ar to make efforts to calm the situation as soon as possible. In addition, Motegi asked the Israeli minister to ensure the safety of Japanese nationals in Israel and support their departure from the country. Sa’ar replied that Israel is ready to offer cooperation. Motegi and Sa’ar agreed to continue close communication over the Iran situation. The phone talks were held at the request of Israel.
