(Adnkronos) – Keir Starmer confirms the decision to have the United Kingdom participate in the attack by the United States and Israel against Iran, stating that he “will stand firm” in defending British values and principles, “regardless of pressure to do otherwise.” In a press conference, the British Prime Minister recalled “the long-held British position” according to which “the best way forward for the regime and the world is to negotiate an agreement with Iran, which provides for the renunciation of their nuclear ambitions.”
“Thus, it was for this reason that I made the decision that the United Kingdom would not join the initial raids against Iran by the United States and Israel – he continued – now this decision has been deliberated, it was a decision in the national interest and I confirm it.”
