Iran, US authorizes non-essential personnel to leave Cyprus

(Adnkronos) – The United States announced that it has “authorized” non-essential personnel to leave Cyprus, where a British military base was hit by an Iranian attack on Sunday night and Monday morning, as part of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. 

The State Department “has authorized non-essential US government employees” and their families “to leave Cyprus” for security reasons, the US Embassy stated.
