Italy’s government is evaluating the alarming spread of conflict in the Middle East between Iran and the United States and its allies, and “the risk of terrorism”, foreign minister Antonio Tajani said on Monday.
“The spread of the conflict is worrying everyone: we are also assessing the risk of terrorism,” Tajani, on the sidelines of the Artic Circle Forum at Italy’s National Research Council headquarters in Rome.
“We are doing everything we possibly can, we are working around the clock,” Tajani said.
“Together with Italy’s prime minister and the defence, interior and energy ministers, I would also like to thank all the public officials who are working tirelessly to support our citizens abroad and to safeguard our citizens in Italy,” Tajani underlined.
