Ukraine, Russia’s advance slows, February marks negative record for progress in two years

2 Marzo 2026

(Adnkronos) –

The advance of Russian forces in Ukraine is slowing down. Last February, Moscow’s military moved the front line to negative record levels in the last two years, since April 2024, with only 123 square kilometers acquired, according to an analysis by the Afp agency of data transmitted daily by the Institute for the Study of War. The slowdown coincides with the halt imposed by Elon Musk’s Space X on the use of Starlink satellites by Russian forces to guide drones against Ukrainian forces.
