South Sudan, ‘169 people killed in the north’

(Adnkronos) – At least 169 people were killed yesterday by armed attackers in northern South Sudan, where violence has significantly increased in recent weeks. Two local officials reported this to AFP. “169 bodies have been buried in a mass grave,” said Elizabeth Achol, health official for the Ruweng administrative region. “This number could increase if more bodies are found,” said James Monyluak, information officer for the area, reporting the same death toll.
