Sudan, first UN flight to Khartoum in three years

(Adnkronos) – A United Nations flight has landed at Khartoum airport, the first since the start of the conflict between the Army and paramilitaries in April 2023. “I want to emphasize how happy I am to have been on the first flight in three years to Khartoum by the United Nations Humanitarian Air Service (Unhas), an important fact for the humanitarian community,” said Denise Brown, UN Humanitarian Coordinator for Sudan, as she disembarked from the plane.
