(Adnkronos) – Following the tender procedure for the assignment in Italy of the audiovisual rights for the Fifa World Cup 2026™, Rai has secured the exclusive multi-platform free-to-air broadcasting rights for a selection of 35 matches – which include the opening match, all matches of the Italian National team, the semi-finals and the final – in addition to the non-exclusive radio rights for all matches of the competition. This is stated in a note from Viale Mazzini.
For the purpose of maximum exposure in Italy of the Fifa World Cup 2026™, Rai will guarantee extensive coverage of the tournament, by broadcasting at least 32 matches on Rai 1 and offering highlights and clips of all matches of the competition in every news report, program and sports container (including Rai’s official social media accounts).
