(Adnkronos) – At least 28 people have died and 39 have been injured following an attack by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) against the locality of Mustariha, a key territory controlled by Musa Hilal, a prominent leader of the Janjaweed militias in North Darfur State. The Sudan Doctors’ Network denounced this on social media, specifying that all victims are “civilians” and that among the 39 injured there are ten women, although the figures could increase as it is a “preliminary” toll.
The organization “strongly” condemned the RSF’s ‘generalized’ aggression, accused of having “sown terror among residents” in an attack that “targeted health facilities.” “This has caused a large wave of displacement towards nearby villages and settlements, under already desperate humanitarian conditions.”
The Sudan Doctors’ Network denounced that these attacks are “a real crime and a blatant violation of all humanitarian and international laws that punish attacks against civilians.”
