(Adnkronos) – The Swiss Confederation will pay a one-off solidarity contribution of 50,000 francs, approximately 55,000 euros, to the injured and the families of the victims of the New Year’s Eve fire in Crans-Montana, which claimed the lives of 41 people, including 6 Italian youths, and injured another 115. The proposal, presented by the Federal Council, will be voted on by Parliament in March as an urgent measure. The objective is to provide rapid and unhindered assistance to those affected and is in addition to the 10,000 franc emergency financial aid provided by the Canton of Valais.
