(Adnkronos) – The collapse of a building caused by an explosion in the megalopolis of Karachi, Pakistan, has resulted in at least 16 deaths, including some children, as families prepared their meal before the Ramadan fast. Rescuers reported this to AFP. “Sixteen people, including women and children, were killed and another 13 were injured,” said Hassan Khan, a spokesman for the provincial rescue agency.
The three-story building, located in a densely populated neighborhood, collapsed for an “unknown” reason, he added. “Apparently there was a gas explosion, but an investigation will clarify what really happened,” a municipal official specified.
