19 Febbraio 2026

(Adnkronos) –
Bill Gates has canceled his speech scheduled for today at the artificial intelligence summit in India. The Gates Foundation stated this after the Microsoft founder was named in the Epstein files. “‘After careful consideration and to ensure that the focus remains on the key priorities of the AI Summit, Gates will not deliver his speech,’ the foundation said in a statement. ‘The Gates Foundation remains fully committed to our work in India to advance our common health and development goals,’ it said. The Gates Foundation stated that the president of its offices in Africa and India would speak in his place.

Gates stated that he regrets “every minute” spent with Jeffrey Epstein, while his ex-wife Melinda stated that she still had questions to be answered about his relationship with the financier who died in jail in 2019. In a draft email contained in the documents, Epstein claimed that Gates had had extramarital affairs.

Epstein wrote that his relationship with Gates ranged from “helping Bill get drugs, to dealing with the consequences of sexual relations with Russian girls, to facilitating his illicit attempts with married women.”
