(Adnkronos) – Last Saturday, a jihadist incursion on a paramilitary base in Burkina Faso killed about 40 people, according to what a security source told AFP today, stating that the Tandjari forest area, in the eastern province of Gourma, “was the target of a violent terrorist attack.” The attack was claimed on Monday by the Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (Jnim), linked to al-Qaeda, known by its Arabic acronym.
