Japan Pledges 15 M. Euros in Fresh Aid to Ukraine

Tokyo, Feb. 15 (Jiji Press)–Japan will provide 15 million euros in additional assistance to Ukraine, Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi said at an online press conference. Motegi unveiled this plan when he held talks with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte in Munich, southern Germany, on Saturday on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference. The assistance will be used to support the Comprehensive Assistance Package, a NATO framework to provide non-lethal equipment. Meanwhile, Motegi held a meeting with his counterparts from Germany, India and Brazil, where they agreed on a policy aiming for concrete results toward reforming the U.N. Security Council.
