Serbia: Gori unveils govt’s growth diplomacy guide for Expo 2027 Belgrade

(Adnkronos) – Italy’s ambassador, Luca Gori has presented a growth diplomacy guide to Serbia’s main business lobby ahead of the world trade fair in Belgrade which opens in mid-May – the first to be hosted by a Western Balkan nation – the foreign ministry said in a statement on Thursday. 

The ‘Diplomacy of Growth: EXPO 2027 Belgrade’ guide unveiled by Gori at Confindustria Serbia’s General Assembly is “the first practical tool designed to support and promote Italy’s participation in Expo 2027 Belgrade,” the statement said. 

Expo 2027 Belgrade runs from 15 May to 15 August and revolves around the theme ‘Playing for Humanity: Sport and Music for All’, said the statement. 

The event “represents a strategic opportunity to showcase Italian excellence in the creative industries, sport, music, design and technological innovation, while also strengthening Italy’s economic presence in the Western Balkans,” the statement underlined. 

Italy’s foreign minister Antonio Tajani wrote a forward to the Expo 2027 Belgrade guide, which forms part of his growth diplomacy drive being spearheaded by the foreign ministry and its network of embassies and consulates worldwide, and is available online, the statement noted. 

“The guide will be updated progressively in line with developments in the design of the Italian Pavilion and with operational information provided by the Expo Organising Committee,” the statement concluded.
