(Adnkronos) – During Donald Trump’s speech today in Davos, photographers did not miss the large bruise the American president had on his left hand when he addressed world leaders and officials after the Board of Peace signing ceremony at the World Economic Forum. Trump suffers from ‘chronic venous insufficiency,’ which can cause swelling and bruising in the ankles and hands. The tycoon received the diagnosis after noticing slight swelling in his hand. He underwent ultrasounds and a comprehensive examination. Karoline Leavitt, Trump’s White House spokeswoman, revealed that the MRI showed no evidence of deep vein thrombosis or arterial disease.
Speculation about Trump’s health had already intensified after he was seen with bruises during a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron. The White House had stated that the bruises appeared due to continuous handshakes. “President Trump is a man of the people, his commitment is unwavering, and he demonstrates it every single day,” Leavitt said in February last year.
In January, Trump told the Wall Street Journal that he takes more aspirin than recommended. “They say aspirin is good for thinning the blood, and I don’t want thick blood flowing through my heart,” he said. “I want blood flowing through my heart, nice and fluid.”
