(Adnkronos) – U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened to impose 200% tariffs on French wines and champagne after Elysée chief Emmanuel Macron refused to join the ‘Board of Peace’ for Gaza. “I will apply 200% tariffs on his wines and champagne. And he will accept. But he is not obliged to do so,” Trump told reporters in Florida.
Emmanuel Macron’s entourage stated yesterday that France “does not intend to respond favorably” at this stage to the invitation to participate in the “Board of Peace”.
