(Adnkronos) – The Venezuelan government continues to release political prisoners as part of a “gesture of peace” promised by interim president Delcy Rodriguez. The National Union of Press Workers (Sntp) announced the release of 11 journalists and media workers, many of whom had been detained for months or years on charges considered arbitrary by human rights organizations. According to the Sntp, at least 24 journalists are still detained.
