Germany: bad weather, Deutsche Bahn suspends long-distance connections in the north

(Adnkronos) – The German railway company, Deutsche Bahn, has announced the suspension of long-distance rail traffic in the north of the country, particularly around Hanover, “at least until noon today” due to bad weather. 

One of the country’s main railway hubs is affected “and long-distance traffic in northern Germany is no longer possible,” it announced, adding that connections between Berlin and North Rhine-Westphalia and between Berlin and Hamburg have also been affected.
