(Adnkronos) – US President Donald Trump announced that Venezuela’s interim authorities will deliver between 30 and 50 million barrels of authorized and “high-quality” oil to the United States, which will be sold at market price and whose proceeds will be under his control as president.
“The proceeds will be managed by me, as President of the United States of America, to ensure they are used for the benefit of the people of Venezuela and the United States – he explained on Truth Social -, I have asked Secretary of Energy Chris Wright to implement this plan immediately. The oil will be transported by tankers and brought directly to unloading docks in the United States.”
