(Adnkronos) – Night curfew in Latakia after violence reported yesterday in Alawite-majority neighborhoods in this coastal city of post-Assad Syria. The curfew imposed by the authorities will be in effect from 5 PM to 6 AM tomorrow.
The toll reported by Syrian TV Al-Ikhbariyah speaks of at least four people dead, including a security force officer, and more than a hundred injured in yesterday’s incidents that erupted after the death of three people due to the repression of protests organized on Sunday following the attack on a mosque in an Alawite-majority neighborhood in Homs. Eight people died in that attack.
