(Adnkronos) – Iranian university students have joined the ongoing anti-government demonstrations in Iran, starting from their universities and taking to the streets in the capital Tehran and in Isfahan, in the center of the country. Local media report this, while videos of the protests that started from the universities have been shared on social media. The Ilna news agency specified that the protest has spread ”in Tehran to the universities of Beheshti, Khajeh Nasir, Sharif, Amir Kabir, Science and Culture, the University of Science and Technology, as well as the Isfahan University of Technology”.
Iran International’s account shared the student protest in several major universities in Tehran. At Sharif University, for example, students chanted “neither Gaza nor Lebanon, my life for Iran”.
Students of Isfahan University of Technology, on the other hand, chanted: “The Iranian dies, but does not accept humiliation”, joining the broader movement against economic hardship and repression.
