Greenland, Trump appoints Louisiana governor ‘special envoy’ U.S.

(Adnkronos) – Donald Trump has announced the appointment of Jeff Landry, current governor of Louisiana, as “special envoy of the United States to Greenland”. The stated objective is “to strongly promote the interests” of the United States “for the security and survival of our allies, in fact, of the world”. “I am pleased to announce that I will appoint the great governor of Louisiana, Jeff Landry, special envoy of the United States to Greenland,” reads the announcement post on Truth. Landry, Trump continues, “understands how essential Greenland is to our national security.” 

Landry immediately entrusted his “thanks to Donald Trump” to X. “It’s an honor to serve you in this voluntary role to make Greenland part of the United States.” “This,” he assured, “will not in any way affect my position as governor of Louisiana.”
