(Adnkronos) – Employees of the Louvre Museum in Paris voted “unanimously” this morning for a second day of strike. This was announced by the trade unions Cfdt T (Confédération française démocratique du travail) and Cgt (Confédération générale du travail). “The strike notice has been maintained and the strike was voted unanimously,” declared Valérie Baud, Cfdt representative, to the press in the museum square. “The proposals of the Ministry of Culture were deemed insufficient and unacceptable by the staff,” the Cgt wrote on its Instagram account.
Outside, in front of the pyramid, a sign informs the numerous visitors who found the doors closed that “the museum’s opening is currently delayed” and that the institution would communicate “the modalities of a possible opening as soon as possible.”
