(Adnkronos) – The Norwegian Nobel Committee has condemned the “brutal” arrest in Iran of activist Narges Mohammadi, recipient of the 2023 Nobel Peace Prize, and has demanded her unconditional release. “Given the close cooperation between the regimes of Iran and Venezuela, the Norwegian Nobel Committee notes that Mohammadi was arrested precisely at the moment when the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado,” reads a statement.
