(Adnkronos) – At least seven people have died in Russia when a military transport plane crashed in the Ivanovo region, about 200 kilometers northeast of Moscow. Local authorities confirmed this. The causes of the incident are currently unclear. According to what was announced via Telegram by the Russian Investigative Committee, an An-22 aircraft engaged in a “test flight” crashed near Ivanovo.
“All crew members have died,” they reported, specifying that “the circumstances of the incident are being investigated.” A case has been opened for possible “violation of flight preparation rules.” Emergency service sources cited by the Russian agency Tass specified that there were seven people on board the plane.
