(Adnkronos) – Italy “is at the forefront of solidarity efforts” in the conflict-wracked Middle East and wants peace between Islamist Palestinian group Hamas and Israel, Antonio Tajani said on Tuesday.
“We want to be peacemakers,” Tajani told the Confesercenti business association’s national assembly in Rome.
Italy is committed to achieving peace between Hamas and Israel “amid the very complicated international situation that we are living in,” Tajani said.
