(Adnkronos) – The foreign ministry and Adnkronos news agency have launched a new podcast, ‘The Sphere’, which dissects Italy’s foreign policy priorities, diplomacy and culture, as well as issues facing the Mediterranean region, the ministry said Friday on its website.
An array of guests taking part in ‘The Sphere’ will explain the foreign ministry’s work and put listeners in touch with Italian diplomacy, the ministry stated.
The podcast’s first episode will look at foreign minister Antonio Tajani’s ambitious plans to reform the ministry, it said.
“This will be followed by in-depth discussions on the Italian language, the Mediterranean, diplomacy for growth and cultural diplomacy,” said the ministry.
Hosted by Adnkronos, ‘The Sphere’ is available on all platforms, on adnkronos.com and on the foreign ministry’s website (esteri.it), the ministry said.
The podcast’s name is inspired by Italian sculptor Arnaldo Pomodoro’s iconic 3.5 metre bronze sphere in the foreign ministry’s central courtyard – the original work he created in 1966 for the Montreal Expo.
