5 Dicembre 2025

(Adnkronos) – The 18th Conference of Italian Ambassadors around the world attended by over 100 heads of mission will take place in Rome and Milan from 14 to 18 December, the foreign ministry wrote Friday on X (formerly Twitter).

The conference “will explore the role and tools” used by the foreign ministry and its diplomatic-consular network to promote Italy’s image and values internationally, read the post.

The conference “offers all Italian ambassadors serving in five continents a moment of reflection,” said the post.

“We will look at the policies and tools to help Italy play a leading role and promote our national interest in the world,” the ministry added.

“Behind #ItalianDiplomacy is an extensive network of professionals who every day ensure representation, protection and essential services to our compatriots abroad, guaranteeing a direct link with Italian communities across borders,” the post continued.

The ambassadors will also attend Italy’s third National Exports and Internationalisation of Italian businesses conference, which is being held in Milan on 17 December.

The directors of Italy’s trade agency (ICE), state lender CDP, export credit agency Sace and investment agency Simest will also attend the Milan conference, according to the foreign ministry.
