(Adnkronos) – The U.S. Treasury Department has authorized Lukoil-branded gas stations located outside Russia to continue their operations, suspending part of the sanctions against the Russian energy giant.
The decision effectively allows Lukoil pumps in countries like the United States to remain operational, while preventing proceeds from returning to Russia.
The move partially suspends measures announced last October by Donald Trump and comes two days before the meeting in Moscow between White House envoys and Russian President Vladimir Putin to find a possible solution to the war in Ukraine.
