Malaysia, searches for flight MH370 missing since 2014 resume at the end of December

3 Dicembre 2025

(Adnkronos) – Searches for Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, which disappeared in 2014, will resume on December 30. This was announced today by the Malaysian Ministry of Transport. The Boeing 777 with 239 people on board disappeared from radar screens on March 8, 2014, while en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. Two-thirds of the passengers were Chinese, while the others included Malaysians, Indonesians, and Australians, as well as Indian, American, Dutch, and French citizens. Despite the largest search in aviation history being conducted, the aircraft has not yet been found. The new explorations will be conducted “in a defined area considered to have the highest probability of allowing the aircraft to be located,” the Ministry stated. The last search in the southern Indian Ocean was suspended in April.
