Eni in long-term LNG supply deal with Turkey’s Botas

3 Dicembre 2025

(Adnkronos) – Eni has inked a multi-year liquified natural gas supply accord with Turkey’s state-owned company Botas. The deal is part of the Italian major’s strategy to diversify its investments globally and boost its LNG portfolio to some 20 million tonnes per annum by 2030, the company stated on Wednesday.

Under the agreement, Eni will supply Botas approximately 0.4 million tons of LNG per annum for 10 years, starting in 2028, confirming the growing role of LNG in supporting the Turkey’s energy needs, according to the statement.

The contract follows a 3-year deal signed by the two companies in September for the supply of approximately 0.4 MTPA of LNG starting in November, the statement noted.

The agreements are in line with Eni’s strategy to secure stable, multi-year relationships in key international markets with high potential, to expand its customer base and leverage its projects in Congo, Mozambique, the United States, Indonesia and other countries, said the statement.
