(Adnkronos) – “A ship without a rudder.” This is how the FBI led by Kash Patel is described in a 115-page report, which includes comments from retired and still-serving agents, who give a scathing assessment of the first six months of the loyalist whom Donald Trump wanted to lead the FBI despite his lack of experience.
And the report, which was obtained by the New York Post, refers precisely to this, stating that the task appears “beyond Patel’s capabilities” with the result of having an agency “chronically inefficient,” “internally paralyzed by fear,” with middle management “afraid of losing their jobs” and “waiting for orders from leadership” instead of taking initiative. A fear justified by the fact that Patel has in the past publicly accused the FBI of being part of the “deep state” that conspired against Trump.
Thus emerges “a disturbing picture” of the bureau, led by a director who “lacks the required knowledge or deep understanding of all the complex and unique investigation and intelligence programs of the FBI.”
