(Adnkronos) – Italy can hit a 700 billion euro export target by 2027 thanks to a plan with a strong focus on non-European Union countries, which the government launched before the US election, foreign minister Antonio Tajani said on Tuesday.
“Before the American election, we launched an export plan that focuses heavily on non-EU countries, countries where there is great interest in Italy, where the word ‘Italy’ is very attractive,” Tajani said.
Tajani was being interviewed by journalist Bruno Vespa during the Association for Sustainable Intermodal Logistics General Assembly in Rome.
“These markets are the Gulf countries, Turkey, India, Vietnam, the Philippines, Japan, South Korea, even China… the Balkans and North Africa,” Tajani stated.
“Africa is of interest and then we have Canada, Mexico and Mercosur,” he underlined.
