(Adnkronos) – Italy’s Senate building, Palazzo Madama will be illuminated in orange from sunset on Tuesday to dawn on Wednesday to mark the start of the United Nations Orange the World campaign to end violence against women, according to the Senate.
The ‘UNiTE by 2030 to End Violence against Women’ campaign invites the world to wear the colour orange and take action to end violence and girls – in the community, at home, in schools and workplaces – both during conflict and in peacetime.
The global civil society led campaign lasts for 16 days until Human Rights Day on 10 December.
