(Adnkronos) – At least three officers have died in a suicide attack launched this morning against a headquarters of the paramilitary forces FC (Federal Constabulary) in Peshawar, in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, in northwest Pakistan. Two other attackers were killed by security forces. Twelve people, including two officers, were injured, local media report.
“Three militants tried to attack the headquarters. One terrorist blew himself up at the entrance, while two others tried to enter the compound but were killed,” explained Police official Mian Saeed Ahmad, quoted by the Pakistani newspaper Dawn. The attack has not yet been claimed.
