Japan’s Tokyo Deaflympics Medals Reach Record 31 Tokyo, Nov. 23 (Jiji Press)–Japan earned more medals at the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics on Sunday, bringing its total medal tally to 31, a record high for the country in a single Deaflympics. In Karate, Japanese women won gold in the team kata on the day, while Kenji Mori, 20, secured the first place in the men’s individual kata. Ryutaro Ibara, 31, won the men’s 400-meter individual medley in swimming, bagging his third gold medal in the Tokyo Deaflympics. In athletics, Japan’s Maki Yamada, 28, picked up silver in the men’s 200-meter sprint.
