In Karate, Japanese women won gold in the team kata on the day, while Kenji Mori, 20, secured the first place in the men’s individual kata. Ryutaro Ibara, 31, won the men’s 400-meter individual medley in swimming, bagging his third gold medal in the Tokyo Deaflympics. In athletics, Japan’s Maki Yamada, 28, picked up silver in the men’s 200-meter sprint.
