(Adnkronos) – For Caracas, Marica Corina Machado will be a “fugitive” if she goes to Oslo to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. This was stated to Afp by Venezuela’s attorney general, Tarek William Saab, speaking about the opposition leader, who says she is in hiding in Venezuela and has stated her intention to go to Oslo for the Nobel ceremony on December 10.

“Being outside Venezuela, with several criminal investigations against her, she will be considered a fugitive,” Saab said, stressing that Machado is accused of “conspiracy, incitement to hatred, and terrorism.” Furthermore, the attorney general continued, the opposition leader is now under investigation for her support of the extensive deployment of United States military forces in the Caribbean.
