(Adnkronos) – In the early hours of today, the entire Ukrainian territory was under air alert: authorities in several cities in the western part of the country also urged their citizens to exercise extreme caution. “The enemy is attacking western Ukraine with drones. Do not ignore the alarm! Stay in shelters,” wrote the mayor of Lviv on Telegram.
In the east, Kharkiv was hit by a “massive attack” according to police, who reported 36 injured. Drones were directed against the Slobidsky and Osnovyansky districts of the city. The attack damaged “more than ten buildings,” according to a message posted on Telegram.
According to Governor Oleg Synegoubov, Russian forces directed 19 drones against this city near the Russian border, the second most populous city in the country before the invasion launched by Moscow in February 2022, and “a nine-story building was hit and then caught fire.”
