(Adnkronos) – The United Nations migration agency (IOM) on Wednesday hailed the Italian foreign ministry’s support to Lebanon’s businesses over the past two years, saying the aid had eased hardship in the crisis-hit country and helped curb illegal immigration.
“With support from @ItalyMFA_int, IOM has been helping businesses across Lebanon since 2023, protecting livelihoods and reducing the socio-economic pressures that can lead to irregular migration,” read message from the agency on X.
