14 Novembre 2025

(Adnkronos) –
Orders acquired by Webuild since the beginning of the year amount to 9.3 billion euros, bringing the total order acquisition for the 2023-2025 three-year period to approximately 45 billion. This is what can be read in the results released by the group.

The figure exceeds the target set by the ‘Roadmap to 2025 – The Future is Now’ industrial plan for the three-year period by almost 10 billion, confirming the group’s ability to seize strategic opportunities in key markets, characterized by strong investments in sectors where Webuild boasts solid expertise. “Investments in infrastructure are indeed experiencing a phase of sustained growth, driven by the increasing demand for sustainable mobility, energy, water, and essential services for communities,” reads a note.

Among the figures released by Webuild in the note, the following stand out: over
11,000 hires in the first nine months of the year, of which 2,400 in Italy for a total of approximately 95,000 total employees for the group.

In this context, the note states, “Webuild has built one of the highest order backlogs in the sector, which guarantees broad visibility on future revenues (approximately 4 years), representing a solid base for the next industrial plan”. Furthermore, the group reports a short-term commercial pipeline of approximately 77 billion concentrated, in line with the de-risking strategy, in developed geographical areas where Webuild boasts a consolidated presence, including Europe, Australia, North America, and the Middle East. Commercial activity accelerated in the third quarter, with a significant increase in tenders submitted awaiting award, rising to 18.5 billion compared to 11 billion euros in July 2025. In addition to these, over 14 billion in tenders are in preparation, with outcomes primarily expected in 2026.

“The 2023-2025 industrial plan is nearing completion with operating results and acquired orders well beyond targets.” This is stated in a note released by Webuild on the results examined by the Board of Directors. The rating upgrade to bb+ indicates the “solidity of the business profile, strengthening of the financial structure, and broad visibility on future revenues recognized by rating agencies,” it adds. On the works front, among others, the inauguration of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, the largest hydroelectric project ever built in Africa; in Argentina, lot 2 of the Riachuelo system, the largest wastewater treatment plant in Latin America, was delivered, intended to significantly improve the quality of life for residents in the Buenos Aires metropolitan area.

In Italy the railway section between Bicocca and Catenanuova, the first high-capacity line in Sicily, was activated, “representing the concrete start of a more efficient connection system between the island and the rest of Europe.” Among the most significant milestones recorded for ongoing projects are the completion of the Casalnuovo Tunnel on the Naples–Cancello section of the Naples-Bari High-Speed line, the first in Italy excavated in a hyperbaric environment, and the completion of the first tunnel between Italy and Austria in the Brenner Base Tunnel. In recent months, three additional caissons have also been positioned for the New Outer Breakwater of Genoa, including the first of the larger ones.
