Colombia, intelligence cooperation with US suspended after Caribbean raids

12 Novembre 2025

(Adnkronos) – Colombian President Gustavo Petro has suspended all intelligence information exchanges with the United States in response to Washington’s attacks on vessels that, according to the US, were allegedly used for drug trafficking in the Caribbean and Pacific, in which at least 76 people died.

“The order has been given at all levels of the public security forces’ secret services to suspend communications and other relations with US security agencies,” Petro stated on X, adding that the suspension “will remain in effect as long as missile attacks against vessels continue.”
