(Adnkronos) – France urges its nationals to leave Mali. “For several weeks, the security situation in Mali, including Bamako, has been deteriorating,” reads the update published on the French Foreign Ministry’s website, with the recommendation “to French citizens to plan a temporary departure from Mali as soon as possible via still available commercial flights.” Land travel is discouraged, in light of “terrorist group attacks,” and Paris obviously advises against travel to Mali “for any reason.” In recent days, other countries, including the United States and Italy, had urged their nationals to leave Mali.
