(Adnkronos) – The death toll from Typhoon Kalmaegi, which flooded large areas of the central Philippines, has risen to at least 26. This was stated by Manila’s civil defense office. “Based on the information we have, most of the victims died by drowning,” civil defense deputy director Rafaelito Alejandro told AFP by phone, adding that 21 people died in Cebu province where several cities were inundated.
