China, Beijing denies having tested nuclear weapons

(Adnkronos) – Beijing denies having tested nuclear weapons, after US President Donald Trump stated that China would be among the countries testing nuclear weapons “without saying it”. “China has always adhered to a path of peaceful development, has pursued a ‘no first use’ policy – not using such weapons as a means of war unless first attacked – , has supported a self-defense nuclear strategy and has honored its commitment to suspend nuclear tests,” clarified Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning.
