31 Ottobre 2025

(Adnkronos) – Vilnius airport had to close again for about three hours last night after other balloons entered Lithuanian airspace and caused inconvenience to passengers. ”Hybrid attacks continue,” said Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda, adding that authorities ”will respond with all possible measures.”

According to public broadcaster Lrt, Nauseda stated that Lithuania’s response would include “kinetic measures” although, he specified, “destroying balloons is not simple: it requires great precision.” This is the fifth such incident in the last 10 days.
