(Adnkronos) – Italy’s foreign minister Antonio Tajani on Friday urged concrete measures from the Group of Seven most industrialised countries to “protect our economies from dumping and the difficulties posted by trade barriers.”
“The G7 needs to address the issue of economic security, Tajani told reporters at Villa Madam in Rome after talk with European Union trade commissioner Maros Sefcovic.
“The EU will do so, and we will strongly support a strategy to protect our economies from dumping and the difficulties posed by trade barriers,” Tajani said.
Turning to the issue of “raw materials and especially rare earths”, Italy intends to make these a priority of the next G7 summit, Tajani noted.
